From a baby's carefully supervised pre-bath routine to a bride's three-month wedding preparation, a new mother's personal-care moment and the everyday skin-care practices of the family, DevElixir Nalpamaradi Kera Tailam celebrates the heritage of traditional Ayurvedic oil care.
Prepared with Nalpamara barks and other traditional botanicals in coconut oil sourced from our own organically certified farm, it is crafted through the Ayurvedic Taila Paka process.
Product Highlights
Traditional Kerala Ayurvedic herbal oil
Four Nalpamara barks and 10 other botanicals
Coconut-oil-based pre-bath preparation
Bridal and occasion-based skin-care ritual
New-mother personal-care ritual
Everyday adult and family skin-care traditions
Proposed age-specific baby and child care
Some traditions are remembered through the little things we do.
The care a parent gives before a child's bath.
The quiet moments a bride sets aside before her wedding.
The time a new mother takes to care for herself.
The familiar pre-bath oil ritual practised by adults and elders.
Nalpamaradi Kera Tailam brings these experiences together through one traditional Ayurvedic preparation.
Not because everyone should use the same quantity or follow the same routine, but because skin care can be adapted thoughtfully to different ages, occasions and individual needs.
A meaningful tradition, practised with care at every life stage.
Nalpamaradi Kera Tailam is a traditional Kerala Ayurvedic herbal oil prepared with the four Nalpamara barks—Vata, Ashwattha, Udumbara and Plaksha—together with turmeric, sandalwood, manjistha, vetiver, Triphala and other traditional ingredients.
The word Kera refers to coconut, the oil foundation of this preparation.
At DevElixir, the coconut oil begins with coconuts grown on our own organically certified farm. The oil is extracted using traditional wooden Marachekku cold pressing at an external mill under our supervision, then used in Ayurvedic Taila Paka preparation at our manufacturing facility.
Unlike ordinary coconut oil, Nalpamaradi Kera Tailam is a multi-herb Ayurvedic oil preparation.
Baby Care — 3 to 12 Months
DevElixir's proposed infant routine uses a few drops for a short pre-bath application. This use requires finished-product pediatric safety clearance.
Toddler Care — 1 to 3 Years
The intended ritual uses a small quantity and a shorter contact period than an adult routine, subject to the same safety approval.
Children and Teenagers
A traditional pre-bath skin-care practice with quantity and frequency adjusted according to approved age-specific directions.
Bridal Preparation
A planned skin-care ritual that may begin approximately three months before an engagement or wedding.
New-Mother Self-Care
A gentle personal-care moment for the mother, when appropriate for her recovery, skin condition and healthcare advice.
Adult and Elder Family Care
A traditional oil-based skin-care routine adapted to personal comfort and skin suitability.
Oil → Gentle Application → Rest → Bathe
Nalpamaradi Kera Tailam is intended for external pre-bath skin care, not for changing natural skin colour or treating medical skin conditions.
WHY DID DEVELIXIR PREPARE NALPAMARADI KERA TAILAM?
Ayurvedic traditions have long understood that skincare is about much more than appearance.
It is about rhythm.
Consistency.
Touch.
Seasonal adaptation.
And creating space for moments of restoration.
For centuries, Kerala families have cherished Nalpamaradi preparations as part of bathing traditions centered around botanical nourishment and ritual-based self-care.
At the heart of this preparation lies Nalpamara—a revered combination of four sacred fig trees deeply respected within Ayurvedic heritage.
Fresh turmeric has traditionally been celebrated within beauty rituals.
Manjistha has been valued in botanical skincare preparations.
Sandalwood has long been associated with cooling and comforting experiences.
Coconut oil became the preferred base for these traditions because of its gentle nature and affinity for tropical climates.
At DevElixir, we prepare Nalpamaradi Kera Tailam not simply as a skincare oil.
But as a continuation of these traditions.
A ritual inspired by generations of botanical wisdom.
A reminder that beauty can still belong to slower moments, thoughtful care, and meaningful practices.
BENEFITS
DevElixir's proposed baby-care routine uses minimal oil and brief contact before bathing.
Care focus: Small quantity, gentle touch and short application.
Important: This is a proposed use, not proof of safety or effectiveness for infant skin.
The intended approach adapts the pre-bath oil ritual as children grow.
Care focus: Age-conscious application, gentle massage and appropriate bathing.
Nalpamaradi can be positioned as part of a planned pre-wedding self-care routine.

It does not promise skin whitening, pigmentation removal or guaranteed wedding-day radiance.
A traditional pre-bath oil ritual may offer a moment of personal care when the mother is comfortable and medically ready.

It is not intended for healing delivery wounds, treating stretch marks, preventing postpartum skin changes or managing postpartum medical conditions.
The coconut-oil base provides a smooth emollient medium.
Care focus: Oil-based application and a comfortable massage experience.
Individual skin response depends on the finished formulation and personal tolerance.
Nalpamara barks, turmeric, sandalwood, manjistha and other herbs have traditional Ayurvedic complexion-care associations.
Care focus: Respecting and caring for natural skin appearance.
The oil can be spread over appropriate skin areas without harsh friction.
Care focus: Gentle application rather than vigorous massage.
The preparation connects traditional Kerala Ayurvedic oil care with contemporary family routines.

Begin with clean hands and suitable, intact skin.
Take an appropriate quantity of oil.
Spread gently without forceful rubbing.
Allow the appropriate pre-bath interval.
Bathe using comfortable water and a suitable cleansing method.
Pat dry with a soft towel.
12–9 Weeks Before the Wedding
Begin by checking skin tolerance and learning the correct pre-bath application method.
8–5 Weeks Before the Wedding
Continue a comfortable, consistent routine according to approved directions. Avoid adding several unfamiliar products at once.
4–2 Weeks Before the Wedding
Maintain the routine only if well tolerated. Keep cleansing and moisturising gentle.
Final Week
Avoid first-time use, aggressive treatments or unfamiliar product combinations immediately before wedding events.
Wedding Day
Do not assume the oil should be applied immediately before makeup or dressing. Follow the practical requirements of your makeup, bathing and clothing routine.
When ready to resume personal-care routines:
Apply only to intact, comfortable skin.
Avoid caesarean or perineal wounds and healing areas.
Keep oil away from the breast and nipple areas that may contact the baby, unless specifically cleared.
Avoid oily residues on skin that will have prolonged direct contact with the infant.
Stop if discomfort or irritation occurs.
Infant use requires specific assessment of the complete multi-herb preparation, not just the coconut-oil base.
Avoid the face near the eyes, mouth and nose, hands that may be sucked, skin folds with irritation, and damaged skin.
Do not use on newborns or babies younger than 3 months under the proposed schedule.
